MANTION : a sliding system specialist like no other
The French town of Besançon has witnessed Mantion’s rise from a small wrought-iron workshop on rue Jeanneney to a state-of-the-art production plant on rue Gay Lussac and an international group with offices in more than 80 countries on all continents. It all began in 1920 when Alexandre Mantion started crafting wrought iron pieces. He quickly became renowned for the quality of his metalwork. Over time his craft evolved and almost a century later the company has become the European specialist in manufacturing sliding systems.
When CEO Denis Schnoebelen visits towns in France or abroad, he is quick to notice the numerous cranes scattered along the skyline – a sure sign that the building and construction sector is booming, and a good indicator for business at the company he has managed since 2000.
